Riad Balkisse - Marrakesh

The staff were amazing, especially Hajar, who was super kind to my family. The location is perfect, quiet yet close to the main square. Our Superior Triple Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good, with Moroccan pastries. The rooftop terrace was great

The location of this Riad was excellent only about 5 - 10 minute walk to the Djemaa El Fna square. Andrea and her husband who manage the Riad are very helpful and will go out of their way to help.

A little pearl in the midst of the medina. Riad Balkisse is only 3 minutes walk from the famous Jemaa el Fna square. The Riad is a romantic place with 2 terrasses where you can eat breakfast or drink mint tea and have a view at the tops of the Atlas Mountains. The owners make this Riad very special. Andrea and Abdil are wonderful people who fully understand what European wants. Not strange because Andrea is from New Zealand and Abdil works for 17 years in the tourist business. Both of them are very helpful and caring , literally any time of the day. Abdil is in his heart a true Morrocan but in his ways he is very European. No fuss or haggle but very straight forward . Abdil's interest is to keep his clients happy and healthy (I needed the latter very much). If you want to eat or shop nearby ask Abdil for tips. He knows his ways and can recommend good places to eat and shop. He has no strings attached to any of the restaurants and shops, although one German guy referred to him as being not objective. Which is completely not true. - Dit Riad was perfect voor ons. Heerlijke rust na een druk Marrakech! De eigenaren zijn heel erg behulpzaam, zelfs om 5 uur in de ochtend. Wij hebben hun echt in onze hart gesloten. - Dieses Riad war perfect fur uns. Es ist romantisch, sehr hubsch und in der naehe von der grosse Platz. Die staff ist sehr sehr hilfsahm und sehr nett. Andrea und Abdil verstehe uns Europeaner sehr gut wass wichtig ist in Marrakech. Sie sind objective und konnen gutes tips geben. Einer von euch hat geschrieben dass Abdil profit bekommt von restaurant tips. Aber dass ist ganz quatsch.

Hajar's surprise birthday event made our celebration extra special, and daily breakfast offered delicious treats like Moroccan pastries that were good.

Andrea, the proprietress and other staff were extremely helpful. The Riad is beautiful and well-located near all the most important sites in Marrakesh.

A little noisy as all rooms open to an inner courtyard. However, this is the riad experience.

Very nice place. Good location 5' walk to Jamaa El Fna square and the souks. Great breakfast and staff. Owners are well speaking French and English. To be recommended.

The rooftop terrace provided a lovely space for relaxation.

Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi connection was unreliable and slow. The lack of air conditioning in the room was quite disappointing and contributed to an uncomfortable stay. Finally, we found the breakfast options to be limited and repetitive, underwhelming for our longer visit.

Honestly no complaint. The place was clean with public parking and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Clean bathroom and spotless room. Enjoyable breakfasts with delicious local products and cakes, very helpful staff...

The cute atmosphere created by the staff, particularly the manager, set a positive tone for my stay, with traditional Moroccan tea, made for a warm arrival. The breakfast selection was excellent, especially the Moroccan pastries that enhanced the experience. The room felt somewhat dark and the bed uncomfortable, which detracted from the overall comfort. The area surrounding the accommodation was not as clean as expected, and reaching the location through narrow alleys can be unsettling.

The Management and Staff were excellent. The rooms were clean, tidy and homely, furnished with luxurious fabrics and fittings. The location was perfect, being only minutes away from the centre and hubub of the city. We will definitely be staying there again in the future.

As soon as we stepped through the door we were made welcome. The people at Riad Balkisse are so friendly and will do anything for you to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. We were in Marrakech for our honeymoon and the staff went the extra mile for us to make it even more special. The location of this Riad is perfect as its very close to the main square in the Medina. However, the riad is still very peaceful and tranquil which is lovely as its so close to all the hustle and bustle of the souks. Overall, we would highly recommend this riad for a wonderful stay in Marrakech.

Yo, this place was dope! The staff? Super chill, especially Hajar-always had a smile and so helpful. The breakfasts? Pure magic with those Moroccan pastries. Location was spot on-close enough to the square but still quiet at night. Felt real cozy in our Beautiful King Room. Just wish the Wi-Fi was more reliable, ya know?

The riad is very nice & welcoming, it provides the typical Maroccan living experience. The staff is very supportive & flexible and offers much info & help (e.g. organizing trips), which is definitely a big plus. The riad is located close to the Jemaa El Fna, so it gives you a good basis to explore the old town from there. We can definitely recommend it.
